Depeche Mode's brooding synth pop doesn't exactly suggest it would be appropriate bedtime music, but Babies Go Depeche Mode transforms the band's biggest hits into twinkly soundtracks for naps. Relying on percussion, flute, and bright keyboards, the songs with the most direct melodies ("Just Can't Get Enough," "Precious," "Everything Counts") stand up the best to these radically different arrangements. Depeche Mode fans who are parents might prefer this to a generic collection of lullabies, and even childless fans might appreciate this for its sheer novelty value.
