Baboons: Life in the Troop

Baboons: Life in the Troop

by Adele Richardson

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
This book describes, very simply, the physical characteristics of baboons, their habitats, hunting, eating and mating practices, babies, and their relationships to each other and their environment. The book also touches briefly on how people affect and can help baboons in the wild. The text is simple and very straightforward but is also descriptive enough to keep the attention of little ones. A captivating full-page color photo that compliments the text accompanies each page. This book, along with others in "The Wild World of Animals" nonfiction series, is a wonderful introduction and is sure to fascinate very young pre-K to K learners. It includes contents, glossary and index pages, a simple tie-in activity, and additional resources. It would be a welcome and likely well-used addition to any library. 2002, Bridgestone Books/Capstone Books,
