Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
As she did in her larger award-winning picture book entitled Animals Black and White, Tildes presents a collection of attractive animals. It begins with a cute dalmation staring out from the cover. As the pages are turned, kids meet a striped zebra, an adorable black and white kitten, and others. The surprise ending in this wordless board book will give kids and parents a giggle and a smile.
Kirkus Reviews
Dramatic black and white illustrations will capture even youngest baby's interest in this bold new board book. Wordless, this simple picture book capitalizes on the current philosophy that the contrast of black and white is the most appealing to infants. Each page features an extreme close up of various baby animal faces. Common animals such as a bunny, puppy and so on are depicted. However, on a global perspective, Tildes also portrays such exotic creatures as a zebra, seal and panda. The final page, done in bright pastels, reveals a young baby laughing up at a mobile, which is composed of all the animals from the previous pages. Tildes detailed, precise illustrations provide a sound introduction to the animal kingdom. The lack of text will encourage adults and well as children to stretch their imaginations and explore the nature of the various animals, their sounds, habitats, et cetera. The possibilities are limitless. This unique aspect of Tildes book makes it versatile and appropriate from birth up through toddlerhood. The success of this book lies in it's simplicity. Combined with the engaging subject matter—who could be immune to the charms of baby animals—this refreshing board book is irresistible. (Picture book, 0-4)

Cute illustrations of baby animal faces!

My 2 month olds are mesmerized! Adorable illustrations. Only complaint- it is a bit short- only 8 pages of animals.
