Overview

The five women sitting in the circle of chairs all had great dreams of motherhood --until their babies died.

Melinda sees blood on the floor every day after her loss. Dot believes the wrath of God caused her baby to die.

Teenage Tina is trolling internet dating sites for a father for another baby, and Janet's failure to cry means her wedding is off. Stella, the support group leader, must help them while facing the old choices that cost her ever having a family of her own.

Based on the stories of dozens of real survivors, Baby Dust is a moving tribute to the strength of mothers who must endure this impossible loss.

Editorial Reviews

Founder of Pregnancy Loss Remembrance Day - Robyn Bear
Absolutely stunning, compelling, and unlike any other book related to pregnancy loss that I have read. The author, Deanna Roy, has taken stories of loss and turned this book into a novel. This is real life.

When you hear a woman’s heartwrenching story, she normally leaves out great detail. This book tells it all; the truth of what women go through before, during and after a pregnancy loss. Very touching novel and the writing is fantastic. I could not put it down.
Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope - Kristin Cook
Baby Dust sheds a light on the all-too taboo subject of miscarriage in a raw, compelling, and incredibly realistic way. Women who have experienced a loss themselves will surely resonate with the characters in the book...

Miscarriage is something that directly affects literally a quarter of the women in America, yet it’s rarely spoken about. I am so happy that through Baby Dust, women who have suffered through pregnancy loss will find validation that they are not alone.
Caring for Carleigh
This book is a MUST READ. Once I started reading the book I wanted to keep reading it until I finished. I became involved in each of the characters and hoped for them like I do for any of my baby loss friends.
Dead Baby Club
This book is different than anything I have ever read before about the loss of a baby… Grief isn’t painted as a pretty picture in this book, but as something that is real and that affects far more women than people realize or care to acknowledge.
Midwest Book Review - Midwest Book Review
Set around a support group of grieving mothers-would-be, Deanna Roy speaks on the torment that many women face when they lose what they value most. “Baby Dust” is an excellent and much recommended read.

    Very good book

I really loved this book and was amazed to see it talk of a baby with anencephaly. Our son was diagnosed with anencephaly when we were 18 weeks pregnant on june 23 2010. We were pressured by two different drs to terminate but we chose to carry our son and we were blessed with 40 weeks + 1 day and our angel was born sleeping november 23 2010. Imagine a love so strong that saying hello and goodbye at the same time was worth the sorrow. Families need to be more aware that they have choices. Hugs

    Heartbreaking and Empowering

I purchased this book after delivering my baby I lost at 18 weeks. No one I know has experienced a loss like mine. Most have attempted to comfort me, but a repeated phrase I've heard is "I have no words". Baby Dust has the words in sharing stories other women have experienced. Losing your baby changes you forever. I know I'm not alone in my grief, and that life will go on. This book was equally heartbreaking and empowering. I highly reccomend it to anyone whose heart is broken by the loss of their baby.

    Love it! A must read!!

Each pregnancy loss is definitely uniquie, but I repeatedly found myself relating to each of the women in the novel Baby Dust. At times I felt like the author had read my mind and penned my thoughts and emotions. I was reaching for the book at every spare moment I had.
