Please help me decipher some of the letter/character combinations.

I understand that Baby Einstein is trying to use the names of their characters on the front cover of some of the Alphabooks. E.g. On the front cover of the "V" book is a cartoon of a pinkish/violet (stretching it) mouse because the mouse's name is "Baby Violet" under the Baby Einstein series.

For those of you who have purchased the books, could you please comment on what each of the following letters represent? I'm intending to give this as a gift to my friend's daughter. Hopefully her parents will know what these letters stand for, but as someone who is not a parent, and don't watch Baby Einstein DVDs, I need your help in helping decipher this! For those of you who are equally clueless, I'm going to explain the ones that I've had to "figure out".
"I" - I'm going to improvise and say "I" is for "Iguana" even though the cartoon looks like a dragon?
"J" - Cartoon of a monkey wearing a green hat and clothes.
"N" - Cartoon of a turtle. (Apparently the turtle in the BE world is called Baby Neptune)
    "Q" - Cartoon of a baby.
    "U" - Cartoon of a dolphin.
"V" - Cartoon of a mouse. As per the above, I've since found out that her name is "Baby Violet", hence the V.
"W" - Cartoon of some sort of bird/parrot.
"X" - Cartoon of some sort of kangaroo/mouse-hybrid-looking animal.

Other than the letters I mentioned here, the rest seem ok.

Perfect book for kids (with 3 pictures and 3 words in each alphabet letter book). Good for age 1. Good way to learn words and recognize things etc. I would recommend this book. My daughter loves it.

Wonderful gift for a young child!

I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend's just over 1-year-old niece. She loves the carrying case and absolutely loves the books inside! They are durable and she can keep herself busy for hours with the books. She also loves to be read to and they are great for that too! The packaging is really cute, unique and durable, too. A great product!

    Could use an editor

I was so excited when my daughter got these. I loved the idea of them, but they could use a little work. Given that each little book was about one letter, I assumed that all the pictures would be about the chosen letter. Sometimes the items on the cover didn't match, or at least no one in my family could figure them out. Not helpful for reading with a child. Also, I think they could've picked some better pictures. A lot of the art was hard to figure out.

I tried to order this when Barnes and Noble still had it on thei

I tried to order this when Barnes and Noble still had it on their website. The only way I was informed that it would take a while to get to me was through the checkout. Now they have emailed me two seperate times to inform me that the shipping has had to be pushed back. The first email confirmed without my consent of still wanting the item. The next email asked me for action. I am very disappointed with Barnes and Noble for not being in better contact with me. I wanted this as a christmas present for my niece. At this point I would rather just go buy her a toy.

Colorful and easy for little children to read

I highly recommend these little books! Easy for little ones to hold to learn the alphabet. After my granddaughter opened this for Christmas she didn't want to open any other present. She just wanted to read the books

    I Also Recommend:

    Learning The Alphabet

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, for babies and toddlers, a picture is worth learning your letters. Easily understood illustrations match the letter to things babies and toddlers enjoy and can grasp. A wonderful learning tool, but your kids won't know that. They just think they're having fun.

    Eric Carle - The Best!

A big Eric Carle fan! This is the first time I have seen the ABC "Box" book. It is easy to handle and bright and colorful. I bought it for my granddaughter. Even though she will share the the dozens of books I gave to her big sister, I thought she should have a new Eric Carle book all for herself.

    Great gift to give

These little books are very entertaining to a small baby. The colors are great and the books are short enough so that your little one won't get bored. This would make a perfect gift to be enjoyed by parents and babies!

    Alphabooks

My granddaughter loves these small books. There is just a word and a picture for every letter in the alphabet. Even at ten months, she would take the small books out of the books and listen intently as I read them to her. I recommend them highly. Five stars!

    My daughter loved these!!!!!

My daughter loved these books. We started reading them to her when she was very young. She can identify a lot of the pictures in the books. She loves to carry the box around the house also.
