This book is clever, simple, and great play for toddlers. It comes with six cardboard squares, each with a picture of a different animal on each side. In the pages of the book, there are twelve homes, one for each animal. The homes have little doors that open so you can put the animal in its home. You can also drop the animal into its home from the top of the page there's a slot for this, and the animal slides down into the home. My daughter, 1.5 yrs, loves this book. The animals go into their homes and play peek-a-boo. At first I thought, 'Why didn't it come with twelve squares, so that we could put all of the animals in their homes at the same time?' But it is more fun this way: there is always an animal not in its home, so the fun never ends.
