YES! This must-have toddler title sheds light on some concepts with a comical flair that will make readers HAPPY.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Patricelli has a collection of board books (Big Little, Quiet Loud, and Yummy Yucky) featuring a young diapered lad with one lock spiraling up from the middle of his head. In this book, when baby is happy, the background is bright yellow and he has a big smile. On the opposite page, the background is blue and baby is sad—you can see the blue tears squirting from his eyes. Other situations include sharing a pet, dropping an ice cream cone, cuddling with mom, losing a balloon, and more. The text is extremely repetitive "Baby Happy Baby Sad" with only one other word at most, and sometimes that is just a sound like "splat" or "boom." The closing spread shows many sad and happy babies. This is not a book that will suit all tastes. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
