Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Dr. Judy Rowen
Each page has a bold, colorful collage illustrating something that might be seen by a baby in a buggy or car-a hat, swing, butterfly, bird, fire hydrant etc. The format is slightly larger than the average board book, but still perfect for little hands. Also in the series - Baby in a Car.
School Library Journal
PreS-Each book opens with the question, ``What does baby see?'' printed in a large, childlike typeface. This is followed by pictures of familiar objects such as an umbrella, balloons, dog, and swing. Wellington's artwork, which is reminiscent of Eric Carle's, is distinguished by bright, variegated colors and simple shapes. Checks, stripes, dots, and bold hues provide much to delight babies' eyes. These titles are good choices for collections in need of basic board books for one-on-one or group sharing.-Emily Kutler, Summit Free Public Library, NJ
