Frances has a new baby sister . . . and she's not happy about it.

With the new addition to the family, no one pays much attention to Frances anymore. At least that's the way it seems to her. So Frances decides to run away. Not too far, though—just far enough so she can hear how much she'll be missed, even by baby Gloria!

I searched everywhere for a hardcover version of this book. It's a wonderful selection for a young child who has a new baby in the house, and it always gets a lot of use. Paperback is just not practical for this book.

I bought this for my granddaughter when she became a big sister. It is a delightful book and I recommend it for any child becoming an older sibling.

I got this book when my sister was born fifteen years ago and it was so great I'm getting for my other sister who is going to have a new baby in her life. It's a great story to show young children that they are still going to be loved even with the new addition to the family.

Frances is a bit jealous of her new baby sister, so she runs away (under the dining room table). There is a good lesson in this book for children about to become big brothers or sisters.
