    Already Knew the information!

    I am a second time mom who needed some advice for a very different second baby. I read the reviews and decided I was the type of mom who was not going to sit next to the crib until my baby fell asleep. I needed an approach where I could see improvement within days. The other reviews said they saw improvements within 4 days. I skimmed the book, and it is designed to train a baby basically from birth, which was too late for me since my baby is already 3 months. And focuses on being done by 12 weeks. There is a few pages on older babies. But it is incomplete information and doesn't tell me anything I don't already know. I'm also a little annoyed at the fact that the author expects me to feed my child a set number of ounces and at exact times of the day. However I breastfeed and don't really know how many my daughter is really geting. And she suggests that I breastfeed for at least 20 minutes. Well I tried that and my daughter finished after 7 minutes and used me as a human pacifier, which she writes is bad. It's conflicting information, and not realistice for a parent who has other kids. I wouldn't reccomend this book for someone who has any knowledge in the subject. If you are completely new at parenthood, or haven't researched this topic at all and need a place to start, maybe this book is good for you. But for me, I could have written it. I need more. . .

    Awesome Advice!!!

    I am so glad I bought this book! As a first time Mom this book was very helpful! So helpful that I had my newborn sleeping through the night at 4 Weeks old!!! I know every baby is different but it worked for me!

    It worked!

    I have a 5 month old that was not sleeping through the night and still sleeping with me because she would wake up to be nursed. I read the book and followed the instructions for sleep training a 5 month old. The first night I placed her in her crib awake and we had a bumpy night. By the second night, she woke up to nurse then went right back to sleep. By night three she went asleep straight away and slept all night, no night feeding, and awoke the next morning and just laid there and entertained herself until I came in. She has been sleeping through the night ever since.

    It worked in 4 days!

    I too am one to not write book reviews, but this deserves it! My husband and I have an 8 month old and we were not getting more than 3 hours of sleep at a time. Needless to say we were past the zombie stage. We skimmed this book on a 2 hour car ride, implemented the suggestions that night, and our son was sleeping through the night after 4 nights. The first night he only had a tough time for 30 min, the second night 10 min, and the third/fourth nights only 5 min. There were nights to follow where he would stir and put himself back to sleep (when before we would rush in and feed him)...this lasted 1-2 weeks. Now we don't hear a peep. The result of Suzy's recommendations have allowed us to feel like ourselves again!

    best baby sleep book out there

    I've never written a review but decided to write this one because this book needs its 5 stars. In the twelve months it took me to get my first child to start sleeping through the night, I must have read 6 sleep books. Then I heard about Suzy Giordano and consulted with her personally. She was a huge help and my son was sleeping 10+ hours nightly in no time.

    Before my second child came along, I bought The Baby Sleep Solution and studied it. I used her charts, advice, guidance and had a baby who slept 12 hours by 12 weeks. That baby is 14 months old now and sleeps great.

    This is not a big fat doorstop of a book. It's concise and practical on every page. A quick read for even the bleary-eyed. Immediately helpful. For bottle-feeding or breastfeeding mothers.

    I'm on the B and N website because I want to order this book for a friend who is a new mom. It isn't the first time I've given this book to someone, and I'm sure it won't be the last.
