My daughter and I have read this book daily for the last 4 months. None of us are tired of it. She loves lifting the flaps and finding the pictures underneath. The flaps are the same thickness as the rest of the pages and they hold up. She turns every page and flaps herself and, luckily, there are just enough words that I can finish reading before she turns the page. I am getting it for every baby shower.

I started reading this book to my son when he was about 3 months old. At nine months he still loves flipping the flaps and turning the pages to see those friendly baby faces. It needs replacing, as it has been chewed up and is almost falling apart. I've one other book in this series and am going to purchase a few more.

This is probably the only "baby book" we had that was really perfect for a BABY! (I'm talking like 8 mos. and down...) And believe me, we had a lot of baby books. I guess it was the pictures of the babies, and the words describing baby feelings ("This baby's happy... sad... hungry...") along with the simple baby sounds ("hee hee... boo hoo... yum yum...") that made it so appealing to my son. I like to say it was the first book he "read," because by the time he was a year old I could read the words- e.g. "This baby is happy," and he would lift the flap revealing the baby and HE would say the sound "hee hee"! It was awesome. This is a must-have for first baby books.
