Scott Simon's personal stories and the anecdotes shared by others makes this memoir worth your time. The perspectives of doting parents and good kids, the stories of tough times, problems overcome, and family love kept me reading too late into the night.

I was very disappointed in this book. I'm a huge fan of Scott Simon, but this book feel way short of his others. The stories he tells are very surface and lack the human component, and it would have been nice if he explored adoption in the average family rather than focusing almost exclusively on famous individuals.
