Overall the book covers everything from nutrition to baby week by week to postpartum. But the only thing I disliked was the pregnant women naked pictures. For some reason I find it very uncomfortable because not only will I be reading this book even my husband,mother,mom-in-law and in the future my kid will also be reading this book,I haven't purchased this book but I read it at my local B&N.I am not yet ready to purchase this book because of the naked pictures, they could have simply put their images they have in their website itself.Anyway if people are comfortable looking at those pictures along with their family they may purchase, other than that the book is perfectly fine for a pregnant women.

Moms-to-be will find all sorts of necessary and interesting info in this book. It gives a week by week guide for what to expect during pregnancy and addresses issues such as health, emotions and 'the rest of your life.' There are sections about the birth, the weeks after the birth and a section about special situations. Not only is the run-of-the-mill advice in this book, but there are sections on things like, 'managing lupus during my pregnancy' and 'making the most of your changing look.' My favorite parts were the 'Babycenter Buzz' sections. Comments made by pregnant women on babycenter's website were put into the book, so expecting moms get tips from other pregnant women as well as from the professionals.

This is a great book that covers everything you need to know about your pregnancy and those first few overwhelming weeks of motherhood. It answers all those questions about what is safe to do and eat. It explains each stage of your pregnancy step by step and has stories and quotes from real moms. There are checklists and information on everything you could ever need to know about. I used the 'What to Expect' book when I was pregnant last time, but this book has so much more information and is very easy to read. The index is excellent and all topics are easy to find. I was very pleased to discover that it not only covered the basics of pregnancy and birth, but talked about alternatives for birthing like hypnosis and home births. There's a section for dads, how to cope with friends and family, and an area with advice for dealing with work issues.

I remain taken aback at the wealth of information in this book. It covers every trimester and every little thing that may or may not happen to your body during each one. It also contains quotes from average moms and moms-to-be , which is very welcoming . It is full of expert advice (to the brim, I might add.). There are father sections included as well. There are checklists, worksheets, 'is it safe to' question and answers, and web resources...which is rare to find in a few other pregnancy books. This book also covers the birthing process and several facts and concerns that may arise in the process. There are also 'after the baby arrives' sections, which cover breastfeeding, illnesses, among others. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing many side bar stats included, as well as tips. Overall, I enjoyed this book, and out of all I've read, this one ranked the highest for me.
