    A reviewer

I was not very happy with this calendar. The package provides cute stickers for many milestones. However, because of the lamination on the pages, it was virtually impossible to write on the pages with a pen. So, anything that wasn't covered in a sticker I could not write. I wound up buying a different calendar.

I loved this calendar! I used it with our daughter and will be buying one for our second as well. I liked the simple prompts and spaces to write on the top page of each month. I also liked the variety of stickers and the inclusion of blank stickers that allow you to add your own, unique "milestones." Documenting important events during my daughter's first year was very easy with this calendar, and we love looking back over her month-to-month progression!

I did not have any problem writing on this calendar with a ballpoint pen, even with the coating on the pages (I would not describe them as "laminated"- they are still relatively "thin"); however, I did notice that I had to be careful that fresh ink didn't smudge if I went back to add to the blanks before the ink dried.

The only downside I noticed is that you should decide how you want to "set up" the months BEFORE starting to use the calendar. Depending on whether you use the actual full calendar month when your baby is born or whether you start the calendar from the day the baby is born, this will definitely affect how many "days" you can get onto one month's page. My daughter was born the second week in February, so I began the calendar at the beginning of the month with "February 1" (technically before she was born). Also, the way you set up the calendar will change how many actual "months" you can get out of it. In my example, I only arrived at 11 months by the end of the calendar- not the full 12. Overall, I would definitely recommend this calendar.
