An excellent guide for any young person interested in baby-sitting, this handbook begins with a chapter about looking for baby-sitters and the responsibilities of the parents, followed by several pages about becoming a baby-sitter. This is basic information that young baby-sitters need to be aware of before their first job. The next section concerns baby and child care, including such basics as dressing, undressing, diapers, washing, feeding, arguments, bedtime, games, and activities. The largest section is devoted to home safety and first-aid. A record and logbook are included to help orient baby-sitters with the specifics of a different household. This book is written from the standpoint of providing a guide for new baby-sitters; however it could also prove a reassuring and helpful gift for your children when they are ready to be a baby-sitters themselves. 2001, DK Publishing, $12.95.     What to expect

    You can exept a great deal of tips from this book, but it is mostly about how to treat a child that needs medical attention. The best part is there is a section in the back of the book with wipe off pages to record information about the familly you are babysitting for!
