I loved that this book was interesting, spiritual and informative at the same time. I read a lot books and have not found too many out there like this one! The other nice aspect is the simplicity of the principles. I'm an accountant and wind up with stressful deadlines a few times a year (one is today). This morning I found myself applying one of Danny's principles...and I just finished reading the book last night. It was great to be able to put them to use right away. Looking forward to the next book!

What I enjoyed about this book is that its lessons are transmitted through a story about a young man named Jake. The story begins moments after Jake endures a construction accident. In the accident, we learn from Jake that he visited what he describes as "heaven's front porch." Jake struggles to make sense of his return to earth especially in light of what happens to his friend who was also involved in the accident. Through a series of events, Jake learns 5 principles that others use to live happy and fulfilling lives. I think this is a great book for people who want to learn a framework for life that is not a typical "self-help" or "how to make it better" book. There are no checklists or exercises. The book is a good story that is memorable and makes the 5 principles clear. I recommend it whether or not you have read other guiding principle books

I thought this was drawn out and realistic at all. Some good insights but not great
