D D Barant truly Rocks! What an exciting, surprisingly intelligent series with believable characters & an amazingly creative world this author has crafted! Then she made it all even better by giving us one very cool, smart, kick butt heroine with a wickedly sarcastic hilarious sense of humor. Each book so far in this series has been the kind I did not want to put down, & now I can hardly wait for the next one to come out! The only downside I found to reading The Bloodhound Files Series is that once I was finished, it was extremely difficult for me to find another series or author to read that was anywhere close to as good as I found this author's series! If you are more interested in those trashy dime a dozen paranormal romances all the publishers seem to be pumping out these days, you may not like this...BUT...if you're looking for an intelligent, refreshing, ulta-cool, & entertaining Urban Fantasy Series, you definitely need to give this one a try!

Really enjoyed this one. Each book seems to get better and better. Maybe it's because I'm getting to know the characters more. Looking forward to the next book.

I was thrilled with the first book in the series for several reasons, including the incorporation of criminal profiling (I'm a trained psychologist & criminologist) and the WICKED sense of humor. By book 2, the sense of humor was virtually non-existant and by book 3, gone entirely. Also, Jace's skill as a profiler was rarely, if ever, put to use after book 1. I kept reading, hoping for better. I'm thoroughly disappointed. It seems that the author's efforts have been spent trying to make each book more bizarre & (much) more boring than the last. They litrally became a chore to read. No more for me, thank you!
