Overview

Once you visit the charming village of Acorn Hill, tucked away in rural Pennsylvania, you’ll never want to leave. Townsfolk relax on their porch swings or gather to discuss the day’s events at the Coffee Shop over homemade pie. It’s the kind of town where friendship and faith flow together like a wide river on a fine spring day. However, the sleepy town of Acorn Hill is in for quite a surprise. After Daniel Howard, the adored minister of Grace Chapel, passes away, his three spirited daughters come home to remember their father, and find out that each has inherited a share of his run-down Victorian house. As the three wander through rooms rich with childhood memories, Louise dreams of a small music conservatory where she can give lessons, and Alice thinks the house would be perfect for a youth ministry. Jane would like to open a restaurant. The squabbling begins . . . as does a brilliant solution to the sisters’ dilemma. Grace Chapel Inn—a unique bed and breakfast—is born, and a new life begins for them all.

    Nice & Easy

This is an enjoyable read. It begins with the death of the characters beloved Father. Three sisters come together and decide to renovate their inherited family home and open a bed and breakfast. The local towns people are all concerned and many questions arise. The story openly shares the grief of losing a loved one. It also talks of starting over for 3 middle aged sisters who come together again as a family. The author presents some welcomed wisdom and advice for dealing with such troubles.

    I love it

I came across this series in the Guid Post book store online. I'm so glad I decided to purchase them. I have several, but unfortunately can only read one at a time. I really loved this one because of the theme-God, a B & B, togetherness and a small town. The only thing better than this would be if it were one of my own books(I'm a writer-Fiction) and had been set in Scotland. Thank You for this book, I feel as though it might some how help me come closer to God myself.

Back Home Again by Melody Carlson

I had actually purchased this book as a gift. I have read about 6 of the books from this series "Tales from Grace Chapel Inn." And I intend to read them all. It is very very good reading. Slow, and Easy. A calming book series. You get so caught up with each character in the book, and as you pick up the next book in the series, you are right there at the Inn again. Sort of like the Mitford Series by Jan Karon. There are so many disturbing books out there now that you read, and this one just so settling. You can't wait to get into the next book. LOVE THEM, have recommended to many.
