    Great story!

Gillian Noode has her work cut out for her. As the president of the SBC, Drew Black has a well deserved reputation for being bold, brash, hot tempered, and foul-mouthed. The owners of the SBC want Drew to be more mainstream and believe Gillian is the publicist that can accomplish this goal. How will Gillian react when the sparks between them ignite?

Lori Foster shows yet again why her books are loved by so many readers! BACK IN BLACK can easily be read as a stand alone. Fans of the series featuring the SBC fighters will relish the thought of Drew finding a woman who can handle him. Newcomers to the series will get an excellent taste of the SBC, both the fighters and the debates over the sport itself.

Drew is the public face of the SBC and a man who is both crude and caring, sometimes at the same time! His controversial presence may offend some but Gillian looks beneath his rough exterior to see the man with a heart big enough to donate both time and money to charity. Part of what makes Lori Foster such a good author is her willingness to explore characters who aren't perfect and Drew and Gillian show how well that can work. In fact, it is the very humanness of Drew and Gillian that make them so likeable.

Lori Foster adds depth to the storyline of Drew and Gillian with a bit of romantic suspense. In addition, the romance of Brett and Audrey as a secondary storyline is quite touching although Brett is almost too good to be true! However, it was the inclusion of WAVS (Women Against Violent Sports) that really captivated me as it gave another side to the sport and showed the hypocrisy of extremism.

BACK IN BLACK is a phenomenal romance! Lori Foster has crafted a world around the SBC fighting world that is both believable and captivating. I can't wait to read more! Highly recommended!

Lori Foster's SBC series is back on track...

After reading My Man Michael I wasn't looking forward to another in the series, but this one I couldn't put down. It was interesting and the characters had great chemistry.

fans will enjoy Lori Foster's latest Supreme Battle Challenge romance.

At Roger's Rodeo bar where SBC fighters hang out, Gillian Noode observes the sport's league president Drew Black and fighter Brett Bullman tell no to two groupies. Gillian has been hired by the SBC financial backers Loren and Fran Ferrari to help Drew to clean up his act especially the public use of profanity. Drew tries to pick up Gillian who informs him who she is. He calls Fran who tell him to cooperate or else, but he also learns that Gillian needs this job. He offers his new handler a deal as he plans to have Gillian in his bed.

The Women Against Violent Sports arrives at the bar to protest and give out leaflets. Brett meets the WAVS president Audrey Porter. At the same time Drew says he will clean up his act outside, but wants Gillian in his bed. He kisses her to seal the deal. Gillian is impressed with Drew when he gives a talk to at risk boys warning them about fighting unregulated and informing them if they want a shot at the SBC they should start working out and no drugs. Audrey introduces Brett to her best friend Millie. After Millie leaves, Brett asks Audrey why she hates SBC; she swears she will one day tell him. As the two pairs of couples fall in love, each woman has issues to overcome with what the respective man in their life does for a living.

The lead couple is a terrific combination as she is finesse and he is in your face while the secondary couple is also set up nicely as he is a fighter and her cause is to shut down brutal sports. Although the villain is to over the top of the sport's arena, fans will enjoy Lori Foster's latest Supreme Battle Challenge romance.

    Fighters and Lovers

Back in Black, by Lori Foster is a romance novel about Drew Black, the president of an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) organization, and Gillian Noode, the publicist hired to "clean up" his act. In a side story, fighter Brett Bullman gets entangled with Audrey Porter, founder of WAVS (Women Against Violent Sports). Both couples find themselves caught in the twisted plans of a psychopath who is trying to ruin their lives.

As with most romance novels, this was an easy read. The story lines flowed nicely, and the transitions were fairly smooth. The sex scenes weren't overly drawn out, and were mostly believable. There was a nice, not too obvious twist to the plot, which was refreshing. I also found the main characters to be fairly dynamic.

I found some awkward moments in the book when the characters' realizations about each other just didn't fit. The "I love you's" seemed rushed and tacked into the end story, and I feel the ending itself could have been a little stronger.

Overall, I really liked this book. On a scale of 1-4, I give this book a 3. The sex scenes weren't raunchy or too sensationalized, and the characters were fairly dynamic.

This book was published by Berkley Books, a division of Penguin Group.

    Back in Black

Very cute story, more like 3.5 start. I love how strong Gillian was and how Drew came to actually listen to her, instead of trying to find ways to circumvent her work. They were a very dynamic pair. The side story with Brett and Audrey was interesting as well and it tied in well with the main story. Millie was crazy! This book seemed a little more sinister than the previous 4, but in a good way. It was head and shoulders above My Man Michael, which I did not like. This was much better; it brought back the love that I have for this series and for Lori Foster as an author.

    I Also Recommend:

    Lori is back

I absolutely loved this book. I was a bit let down by the last book in the SBC series. So, I was worried about this one. Back in Black was everything I hoped it would be, and more. You not only get Drew's story, but an up and coming fighter.

    Great book

I really liked this book. The ultimate fighter thing is original and interesting. This is the second book I have read in this series. What I need to do is start at the beginning and read all of them. That's not to say that you need to read the other books first or in order, this book is actually a good read on it's own.

    Pretty Decent

I thought this book was just ok - not really worth the rave reviews of others. I felt like there was too much going on at once and everything was loosely tied together.

Lori Foster is back with Back in Black!

I have read almost all of Lori's books and for the most part have loved them all. This series is no different. I loved this series till I got to the last book called My Man Michael, It almost made me stop reading these books. But after saying that I do have to say Ms. Foster is BACK with Back in Black. I loved this book as much if not more that the others in the series. The main Char. Drew is funny, smart and bold. I loved him. I also loved ther female lead, she was witty and smart and was a great match for Drew !! Thank you Ms. Foster for writing this book in the same fashion as the others!!

I'm a fan of the SBC and Mrs. Foster.

I've been reading Lori's books for quite a while. I have most of her other books on my bookshelves, this is a great addition for sure. I loved the book! I read it a bit too fast, but that shows how much I loved it.

I totally recommend this book to everyone! Though, you should start with book 1, "Causing Havoc". It is also an amazing book.

Love Lori! Can't wait for what she comes up with next! <3
