    Very Helpful

This book is so helpful to the novice cook. I had signed up for a share in a local farm and ended up with more produce that I knew what to do with. This book helped so much. It tells you ideal storage conditions for all sorts of produce, whether it be root cellar conditions (and how to accomplish that, even in an apartment) or freezing. When it comes to freezing, the author tells you the proper way to go about that for many different kinds of veggies, etc. Haven't quite gotten to all the canning instructions as there is so much other information to take in. Would recommend. It has helped me keep the amount of spoilage down - something especially helpful in this economy!
