Award-winning author Robin Kaye proves that home is where the heart is, even for the bad boys of Red Hook, Brooklyn ….

It would take a miracle for Storm Decker to return to Red Hook—or a tragedy. The neighborhood holds too many painful memories of his troubled childhood, along with the mistake that sent him running from the kindness of the ex-cop he’d come to consider his father. But when Pete suddenly falls ill, Storm is called home to face the past he tried to leave behind long ago…

Breanna Collins never expected to see Storm again after he left town without a word, breaking her heart. She’s angry that he can’t seem to appreciate all the changes in their hometown. But she still feels a powerful connection to her old flame. And unless she can remind him of all the reasons to stay, she knows he’ll never stick around long enough to give their romance the second chance it deserves….

Publishers Weekly
Kaye (Call Me Wild) throws together richly drawn love-challenged characters to launch her Bad Boys of Red Hook contemporary romance series, set in an impoverished industrial Brooklyn neighborhood. After a rough childhood in Red Hook, Storm Decker took off one night without explanation, leaving Breanna Collins heartbroken and furious. Eleven years later, he unexpectedly shows up in her house in the middle of the night—so she nails him with a frying pan. Storm is only back in town because his beloved foster father is ill; despite his adult accomplishments as a professional sailor, Storm struggles with unpleasant memories and can’t wait to leave again. Self-effacing Bree resents his cavalier, self-serving attitude, musing that Storm “probably had Peter Pan tattooed on his ass.” As they weave their way through old memories and new realities, Bree and Storm slowly reignite old passion. A strong sense of place makes this a solid series launch. (Jan.)

Kirkus Reviews
Storm Decker returns to Red Hook, Brooklyn, to care for the man who raised him like a son and face the woman he loved with all his heart; can they overcome the oceans that separate them and the walls they've built to protect themselves, or is it even a good idea to try? When Storm gets word that Pete, the man who took him in as a child, is sick and needs help running his tavern, he takes the first flight out from New Zealand, sneaking into the house in the middle of the night--only to be met by Breanna Collins and a smack to the head with a frying pan. Not a revenge smack, but a survival one--Bree thinks he's a burglar. And not that he doesn't deserve a revenge smack, since he abandoned her mid-kiss-that-was-definitely-leading-to-something-else 11 years ago and never once looked back. Bree wouldn't mind if she never saw Storm again, but she needs his help with Pete and Nicki, the 10-year-old girl Pete's taken in, so she'll put up with him. For now. And she'll do everything in her power to deny the sizzling attraction they both feel and the sense of unfinished business that lingers between them. After all, he's made it clear he's headed back to his life and his business halfway across the globe and that the quicker he gets out of Red Hook the happier he'll be. But the neighborhood has changed, and the woman who holds it all together with fierce love and loyalty is more compelling than ever. Storm left her once for her own good. He's not sure he can do it again. And the more time he spends in Red Hook with Bree, the less sure he is he even wants to. Fluid storytelling, convincing characters and an arc that is both passionate and poignant make for an emotionally gratifying contemporary romance.

4.5 Stars Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog Ms. Kaye delivered it with style, complete with humor, swoon worthy hero, an HEA with enough romance, and a good amount of sexy. ~Under the Covers I have become an automatic fan of Ms Kaye after reading Hometown Girl (Redhook #.5). Ms. Kaye delivered as I predicted. BACK TO YOU is just as heartwarming, sexy and definitely enthralling as its prequel. Ms Kaye wrote a story of second chances not only for Storm and Bree but Nikki and a lost dog. A story of abandoned individuals and how they can rise up from a bad situation with the help of others that can and do care. And finally, realizing that finding true love is more than a possibility. Storm Decker never thought to come back to the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn. His memories of where he grew up were not the best. He has worked hard to make something of himself and going back to Brooklyn was not part of his plans. But his foster dad Pete has become ill and his family needs him. Bree also grew up in Redhook. She has become Pete’s “right hand man” and is now in charge of his care and his family owned bar. Bree and Storm grew up together but it was never a sibling relationship between them. It was more like teen love. Time has passed and it’s time to find out if their childhood feelings are more than they ever felt. I love reading about Storm and Bree. Their story was dreamy and I love to see what-ifs tales get their happy-ever-after. The secondary characters were also a treat, especially Nikki who just made my eyes tear from her past and sweet comments. Not to forget, a glimpse of the sexy Simon, the bartender from Hometown Girl was an added bonus. Ms. Kaye delivered it with style, complete with humor, swoon worthy hero, an HEA with enough romance, and a good amount of sexy. I recommend this to anyone who gets weak kneed from a successful, romantic and sexy heroes because Storm is exactly that! *ARC provided by publisher

I almost didn't read this based on other reviews. I'm glad I ignored them and read it. Storm returns to help his foster father during his illness and to face the feelings he has for the woman he ran out on 11 years ago. Bree has to face the fact that she's still in love with Storm but hasn't forgiven him for leaving her. I have to agree with another reviewer, she was a hard woman to like, very frustrating. However, the story was good, the characters were good and watching their love grow and mature was enjoyable. I'm ready to read about the rest of the family!

Back To You by Robin Kaye is the first book in a new series, Bad Boys of Red Hook. Storm Decker has not been back to Red Hook in many years. It takes the man who raised him falling ill to have him come home. Storm left to avoid hurting his “dad” by his feelings for Breanna Collins. But Pete is facing a major illness and Storm is needed at home. His first night back he comes face to face with Breanna and her lethal skillet. Breanna Collins has never forgiven Storm for running out on their ill timed romance. He broke her heart and Breanna is trying to let it go. But she has the family bar to take care of so she needs Storm’s help in taking care of Pete and Pete’s newest foster child. Old feelings are still there and more powerful then before. Can Breanna convince Storm that Red Hook isn’t the bad place of his childhood and to get him to stay to give their love a fighting chance? Back To You is a wonderful combination of fun, sass and deep emotions. Breanna and Storm will touch your heart and you can’t read this book fast enough to get to the happy ending. Looking forward to the next book by this author.
