Overview

Although Angel loves her little brother Rags dearly, the constant responsibility of caring for him weighs heavily on her young shoulders. "Delton has created a flesh-and-blood child whom readers will take to their hearts. Meet the Author

Judy Delton was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has lived there most of her life. She has published more than one hundred books for children, including the popular Pee Wee Scouts series. DISSAPOINTING!

In this book I think that Judy Delton meant to only write one single book, but realized that she was a wonderful writer and got going on the whole Angel series, which by the way are much better than her first book. In Backyard Angel, Angel and Rags seem so young and different. Their mom has not met their stepfather Rudy yet, and baby Thena has not been born yet, and the family had not moved to Greece yet. Alyce's apartment had not been burned don yet , and wasn't staying with the family. In the first book, Edna and Angel did not even know eachother! Overall, it was an ok book, but when you compare all the other Angel books to this one this one does not have a chance. But, if you have not yet read any of the other Angel books yet, this would be a good one to start with.
