Booknews
A big (8.5x11<"><-->a necessarily unhandy format) and very detailed guide to 157 Jeep trails. Includes distance logs with GPS readings, descriptions of sights & activities, very small color photos, and diagramatic maps, which are nearly useless without a DeLorme atlas or the USGS quads (these are cited in the text). Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)

'Multiple Award Winner' - I can see why!

I have been searching EVERYWHERE for a Jeep Map, or book or magazine or something that has to do with the availability of trails that are well documented around the state of Arizona. I have searched high and low and to my amazement, I cannot find ONE Jeep trail guide anywhere! After almost giving up and just buying a Topo atlas I stumbled across a book called Backcountry Adventures in Arizona. It is dubbed the 'ultimate guide to the Arizona backcountry for anyone with a sport utility vehicle'. After flipping through this Adventure Series Multiple Award Winner I quickly knew this was exactly what I was looking for. It not only has very complete maps, pictures and descriptions of all kinds, it even has GPS coordinates in it also! Even though the toughest trails on here are rated an '8' out of '10', they still say you should be aware that a stock vehicle WILL be damaged and could find the trail impassable. This book is great for beginners, especially. It has everything you will need on your trip, how to make it last, what to do in an emergency and much much more. I highly recommend this book, now if the title only had the word JEEP in it
