Romantic suspense is hard to pull off but author Gale Stanley manages it in spades in the compelling and tense 'Backfire.' I had a hard time putting this one down. Looking forward to more entries in this juicy series.

Another great Shifter Story from Gale Stanley. Entertaining, exciting and a really good read. Well written and edited and with a flowing plot. I enjoyed.

Backfire [Southwest Shifters 3] by Gale Stanley is another great read by this author! Backfire is a short read but very exciting and if you haven't read a book by Gale Stanley, this is a good place to start! Although this is the third in this series, not a problem, the author is so creative you won't miss a thing.

Gale Stanley has done it again with the third book in his Southwest Shiftersnseries. This is a short erotic intrigue that will leave you wanting to read the other two books in the series, although this one can certainly stand alone. Glad I was gifted this exciting book in exchange for an honest review.

There's something that draws me to these books. It's probably that I have personal experience of shape-shifters. Twice I've married something that looked like the love-child of two Hollywood film stars only to find out in a couple of years that they had more likely been sired by Bob the builder and that chap who peels the spuds down at the chip shop. That, thankfully, is not a problem you'll have to deal with when reading this book. It's pure escapism of the best kind, and highly recommended. The plot is compelling, the action well-handled, the writing style engaging and the editing professionally done.

If you have an interest in this genre, start with this book. This author weaves a beautiful, compelling story of characters and plot. It's a short read and one you're sure to enjoy. I certainly did.

A wonderful introduction to the genre, this novella is compelling, intriguing, and mighty sexy. At 70 pages, it misses nothing and is a great evening's read (not everything needs to be a thumping 300-400 pages to make a point). It does stand alone, but it never hurts to also read what came before. A great read that is part of a great series. Recommended.
