Why Feed Backyard Birds?

When I was a toddler, I would watch my mother throw bread crumbs onto the snow of our Pennsylvania yard for the birds. She felt that the birds needed her help weathering cold winter days.     Finally an easy bird identifying book!

    I think this is such an easy book to use. I can quickly identify the birds in my backyard with this book. I have decided to give it as gifts to friends of mine who bird and are thinking about birding. Where better to start than your own backyard! I've given one to my grandchild who loves birds.
