Several pages of photographs display each yard, ranging from urban roof gardens to renovated barnyards. This is not a how-to volume, but more information on how the work was done, how long it took, and costs would have made it more useful. Experienced homeowners may gain inspiration from the lovely photographs, but neophytes will not get much help. A final section of catalogs giving names and addresses of firms dealing in garden furniture, birdhouses, play equipment, and the like should be useful. Pretty, but not a necessary library purchase.
