This book is sooo good...I could not put this book down. L.A. Banks, Rocks in this series!
The book is well written, with a great plot! You have were-wolves, shadow wolves and vampires. You got a GI Jane (Sasha) who is no whimp, and a counter part (Max) that can hold his own and then some. Yep, this is a great read and I am so happy I found it. Yes, this writer just got better!!!

This was good enough for a light read. Sometimes I felt this book got a little condensed in the detailing. It seemed that the writer wasn't detailed enough in some place, leaving me reading sections over to try to understand what was being described. I liked the characters well enough to order the second book. So we'll see how it goes...

It makes for a more intriguing story and it¿s something different from the usual werewolf story. I really enjoyed this book. There were some slow parts and a bit too much ¿feeling¿ in some parts. I didn¿t have a hard time swooshing through those sections though. However, L.A. did a good job of capturing the intensity and passion. Sasha Trudeau is a Special Ops Agent for the US Government. She and her team work unseen to try and stop the sale of demonic tainted werewolf blood on the black market. Little does she know that some of her teammates were purposely exposed to the contaminated blood for test purposes, by the government. Everything Sasha thought she new about herself, her teammates, her commanders and her heart are about to change. Time has run out for her team leader Rod. His exposure to the tainted blood has reached its peak. The demonic influence causes him to become exactly what he¿s been chasing for years. Sasha is put between a rock and hard place in order to stop him. There are a few good things that do happen to Sasha. She meets her mate, although she is squeamish to make a commitment. She finds out more about her origins and her family. I recommend this book and I am looking forward to book two.

I like the action pack scenes and the romance is good fast but not too raunchy!

Not only were there several typing and grammer errors. The autor makes the reader jump to too many conclusions. One minute your worried about the hostages and then without any explination the main characters have saved them in a blazy story wrap-up. My 9yr old writes better story lines!

Weaved from campfire ghost stories & present day events like cell manipulation & gov't black ops, this book is a brilliant read & a great new series to replace the VHLS, which is nearing an end. LA is the best writer in this genre in my opinion. She has a poetic, lyrical style that makes reading her books like watching a movie. The characters are well developed & even the seeming most insignificant character has depth & sometimes turns up in unexpected ways in the story. Kudos for another super fantastic series. The CMS rocks!!!

Was a really nice story line but, i felt as though I was missing pieces and background info. I did not like the way it ended, also it felt as though the author didnt know how to conclude the book so it was rushed. I will read the next in the serious but hopefully more time will be taken to properly finish things .

Continuing to prove that she is a force to be reckoned with in the paranormal genre, L.A. Banks is the MOST talented writer of the 21st century! In her latest series, Crimson Moon, she has found (yet again) the perfect combination of intrigue, suspense, a great plot, a little sex, a lot of romance and great writing. Her latest series centers around werewolves, and trust me, what she does with vampires, she does even better with these newly evolved shapeshifters! Sasha Tradeau, a Special Ops soldier is mourning the disappearance of her pact, who was sent to another country to stop 'evil' from spreading. With the turn of her pact leader, Rod, Sasha sets out to find out who wants her unit dead and what she 'really is'. Here enters the very sexy, Alpha Male of the Shadow Wolves, Max Hunter who believes that he is the future lover, protector and life mate to Sasha (although she is resistant to the whole lifemate concept). It also it seems that Hunter and Sasha are connected in ways neither of them could imagine. While the two of them dance around (he accepts it, she resists it) their attraction to each other, they attempt to unravel the secrets of the 'highly evolved werewolves' (superhuman/werewolf hybrid soldiers) and who is behind their creation. And although there are several novels about werewolves out there, none compare to this rollercoaster ride of suspense. L.A. Banks has created the perfect story and weaves a tale of double dealing vampires, government experiments gone wrong, cover-ups, mystics, murders, shaman and some general bad guys. And the fight scenes aren't bad either! This was perhaps one of my favorite novels this year. It was a FABULOUS (I can't say that enough) read and I simply can't wait to read the next one!

The US military said the drug cartels went crazy and that was why blood ran down the streets like an overflowing river. Sasha Trudeau is part of a Black-Ops organization that consists of people with the werewolf virus in their system, but none has Turned due to the meds they take. Their mission is to prevent werewolves being captured by other nations besides America because werewolf and human DNA merge into a super soldier.----------- On an operation in Korea, the werewolf Shogun tells Sasha that the dangerous lycans are demon infested while the rest of the species is harmless and in control of the change. Sasha is unaware that her superiors already know that and are trying to breed a super soldier. When the Alpha in her group Turns, Sasha kills him later she meets Max Hunter, a shadow wolf who is a different species. He insists she is part of his clan and they cannot be infested by demon blood. Both feel the attraction between them and a relationship develops, but she must fight the military who are committing atrocities against humanity and needs the help of her lover if she hopes to succeed.-------------- Book one of the Crimson Moon novels, BAD BLOOD is a fantastic urban fantasy filled with action, intrigue, betrayal, double dealing and plenty of mano a fema as well as romance. The compelling story line uses the concept of the forces of good and evil vying for supremacy with the malevolent side cleverly disguising their activity as altruistic. The protagonists struggle to survive as there are traitors within the were, human, and shadow communities. L.A. Banks provides a spine tingling supernatural thriller that shows why her fans always clamor for more.---------- Harriet Klausner
