Gary Lavergne graphically details the account of the crimes of the murderous monster, Kenneth Allen McDuff. The writer walks the reader into the vicious mind of McDuff who used, tortured, and murdered women. McDuff is best known for the 1966 Broomstick Murders for which he was convicted and sent to prison, only to be released on parole in 1989, a choice made by Texans. This book shows how the criminal justice system failed allowing McDuff to kill again. It is the Kenneth McDuff case that made changes in the justice system in the state of Texas. Gary Lavergne keeps the readers attention and the reader turns each page with anticipation. The book is an excellent true crime read. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
