Who doesn't love a bad boy?

I think each of these short stories had a good plot but I wish they could have been more in depth. They are easy to read and get into but since they are short sometimes the story line isn't that believable.

Wow

I don't usually like books with multiple stories in them but this one proved to me that they are worth a peak. Though I give Lori Foster and Nancy Warren their due credit Donna Kauffman's 'Going Up' is what really makes this book worthwhile. This short story contains all of the desirable characteristics one would want to find in an erotic romance novel: Characters you can identify with/ you can understand, hot steamy scenes, a believable story line, and a touching romance. I highly enjoyed this story and I bet you will too.

Bad Boys are So Good!

Brava continues to impress me with the quality of anthologies they publish. The next installment of the 'bad boys' theme is BAD BOYS ON BOARD, a delightful collection of novellas. Lori Foster's 'My House, My Rules' is a fun story featuring a surly hero brought to his knees by a sassy heroine. I enjoyed Ariel's resolve to become bold enough to go after what... or rather, WHO... she wanted. At first, Sam seemed too gruff to me, but his reasons for holding her at arm's length are valid and his nature is actually a refreshing change from the too suave and too sensitive heroes found in many of today's contemporary romance heroes. I liked his protectiveness toward Ariel and that his concern about the age difference between them was mentioned but not blown out of proportion. Foster's trademark ability to mix sensuality with humor is present here, and she makes this story an exciting battle of wills where the real winner is true love. Donna Kauffman's 'Going Down?' is my favorite of the three stories in this anthology. The stalled elevator scenario could have been trite and overused, but Kauffman skillfully makes use of the situation to create an intimate setting where the dialogue is smart and relevant, and the evolution of the attraction between Callie and Dominic has a very high anticipation factor. I like the way the heroine opened up about her self-worth issues, prompting Dominic to come to his own realizations... and the way they decide to help each other is very enjoyable indeed. The chemistry between them actually seemed amplified by the total darkness that consumed most of the story, making this a very steamy read as well as a smart, sophisticated one. Nancy Warren's 'A Fast Ride' is a fast, sexy story that rounds out this anthology well. Wes is, in his amnesia, the baddest of this anthology's bad boys, and Nell takes full advantage of this to help her through her own identity crisis. I liked how Wes instinctively recognized Nell on some basic level, underscoring the connection between them. My only complaint is that the story seemed to end too abruptly, without a real discussion of the hero's emotions leading him back to Nell. This oversight wasn't enough to distract from the overall enjoyment of the story, though, and seems like a minor nitpick in light of the excellence of the entire anthology. The book also includes an excerpt from an upcoming Brava release by Janelle Denison called 'Wilde Thing,' which definitely places it on my 'must buy in 2003' list. I highly recommend this anthology for some delightful Spring reading!

Bad Boys on Board is a steamy anthology by three of my favorite authors: My House, My Rules by Lori Foster; Going Down? by Donna Kauffman, and A Fast Ride by Nancy Warren. I loved all three stories. In 'My House, My Rules', Ariel Mathers wants policeman Sam Watson, has decided to do whatever it takes to make want her, too. Sam is definitely attracted to Ariel, but there's the little matter of a big age difference, not to mention the fact that he's sure his younger brother Pete is in love with Ariel. Sam is used to making the rules and being in control of his life. Ariel is throwing his world off-kilter. Luckily, Sam's family can be counted on to keep things going in the right direction. My House, My Rules is a hot, fast-paced story. As soon as I finished the story, I was ready for a re-read! In 'Going Down?' Callie Montgomery and Dominic Colbourne are trapped together in an elevator. Callie is a very hard-working personal assistant; Dominic is powerful business executive. In their everyday lives, they appear to be two very different people, with different backgrounds and lifestyles. During their enforced intimacy in the elevator, they begin to learn things about themselves and each other, and discover that they may have more in common than they realized. This is a hot, erotic story of two people who explore and share their emotions, their feelings, and themselves. In Fast Ride, Gertrude Hopkins has had it with bikers racing down her street, so she decides to do something about it. She blocks the road with a downed tree! Unfortunately, Wes isn't able to stop in time to avoid it. He goes flying off of his motorcycle, and hits his head. Nell Tennant, Gertie's great-niece, is sure Wes has lost his life. Luckily, he has only lost his memory. Since her great-aunt caused his injuries, Nell feels obligated to take care of Wes while he recovers from his injuries and amnesia. At least, she tries to convince herself that's the only reason! Nancy's story jumps right into the action from page one, and never lets up. If you're a fan of any or all of these authors, you are in for a treat with Bad Boys on Board. If you're new to their work, don't be surprised if you find yourself hunting for their backlist titles!

This wrapped-up-in-a-day romance reigns supreme out of the three with delicate emotional intimacy and earnest characters. Nancy Warren's Fast Ride falters with her mediocre offering on DEA undercover Wes Doman suffering temporary amnesia in an accident in Harleyville who gets into a hot affair with his savior Nell Tennant. Juxtaposed to its two brilliant predecessor I Love Bad Boys and I Brake for Bad boys, Bad Boys on Board may not be the best but it's definitely worth the ticket price.

These two would have not have connected under normal circumstances but when they are trapped together over night in an elevator, they realize how much they do have in common. In this erotic story the two characters really do some deep soul searching to forge a new relationship. A Fast Ride by Nancy Warren, Nell Tennant¿s great Aunt Gertrude Hopkins helps to land the man of Nell¿s dream at her feet. Wes Doman takes Nell on a wild ride from their first ¿reviving¿ kiss till the end of the story. As Wes recovers from his accident and amnesia, he and Nell embark on a hot romance. All three stories will get your blood bumping

One of the greatest weaknesses of anthologies is that inevitably one of the selections does not live up to the quality of the other stories; however, readers need not have that concern with BAD BOYS ON BOARD! Authors Lori Foster, Donna Kauffman and Nancy Warren team together for three terrific novellas about bad boys and the girls who love them. These bad boys really know how to turn up the heat. Sexy, sassy and seductive, these tales will certainly satisfy lovers of romantica.
