A Twisted Suspense, A Compelling Romance

There were so many things I loved about this book: The main characters, Angel and Teri have a super-charged electricity flowing between them. The setting-New York City and San Antonio, Texas-What a contrast! The supporting characters: Teri's sister, Sister Bernie and the other nuns, Angel's rowdy and lovable family. The bad guys: a slew of killers out to get Teri one way or another. I liked the plot and the action, and I liked the love story that unfolded between two unique characters. Very romantic. The suspense plot was full of twists I didn't see coming. I highly recommend this read.

    Sparks Fly

A Hispanic NY detective follows Teri Slaughter to his hometown (San Antonio). He takes her into protective custody when he realizes the killers have followed her there and her hides her with his family.

The peek into the life of a typical Hispanic family is worth the read. But the story will keep you glued to the very end. Three cheers and five stars for JD Faver.

    I enjoyed this story!

I fell in love with Angel and Teri!! JD Faver really captured the sights, sounds, and tastes of San Antonio! I felt the connection between Teri and Angel immediately, which was quite funny with the circumstances around their first meeting! The suspense kept me guessing and it seemed there was a twist at every turn.

    eh

Disappointing. Characters drawn well enough, but story line was lacking and chemistry between the two main characters seemed to ramp up out of nowhere, without obvious reason.
