Alter Ego or Ghostly Warrior?

Wes Brand is the black sheep of the family. But lately, he's become friends with an old Shaman named Turtle who has hidden reasons for wanting to put Wes in touch with his Comanche roots. He convinces Wes to impersonate legendary warrior, Wolf Shadow, to drive archaeologist Dr. Taylor McCoy away from her dig site. His failing health provides plenty of leverage. But when the beautiful doc finds herself falling for both Wes and his ghostly alter-ego, Wes wonders how he'll get out of the mess he's made without ruining the powerful feelings beginning to grow between them.

I like Wes. In the first two books of the series, he's tough and rugged and dangerous, not to mention sexy as sin. I must say I was disappointed here though. I liked Taylor's character and the building of their ranch, however, dressing up and sneaking around as an old Indian brave's ghost just doesn't seem Wes's style. I had hoped his story was more action packed and realistic. Also, there's way too many pages of Taylor's inner struggle of finding out about her ancestors  and Wes's inner struggle of telling her the truth...it's so repetitive that it bores you quickly - I actually skipped entire pages of inner dialogue. Missed the mark here, but still a cute story for a Harlequin romance.

I enjoyed Wes's story.

I loved the mix of magic with the shaman touch, we need more positive stories like this. It was fun to see Wes getting jealous of himself as Taylor finds both of them equally appealing.

First 94 pages were boring and slow reading, they could have been written differently with the quality of maggies other books, i wish there was some excitment in those earlier pages, the last paet of the book was excellent

The boy shakily steps inside, his bright cerulean eyes squinting vaguely as he looks around. His eyes alight on the two others, Belle and James, and he hides in the shadow of the doorway
