It meets many markets for special needs including vegan. I really like the photos of the products using different ingredients to give the user an idea what happens when you alter a product’s ingredients. Meet the Author

Ms. Duane founded Alternative Cook, LLC (alternativecook.com) after being diagnosed with gluten intolerance. From 2005 until 2011, she produced four DVDs (Chocolate, Italian, Mexican, Kids’ Meals), self-published Bake Deliciously! Gluten and Dairy Free Cookbook; wrote The Complete Idiot’s Guide for Gluten Free Cooking (Penguin/Avery); produced several segments for Comcast’s Video on Demand; appeared in several episodes of PBS’s Life Wise television series; has a dedicated channel on You Tube (Alternative Cook); has developed recipes for General Mills (Betty Crocker) and for Beautiful Sweets Bakery. A regular speaker, Jean is a member of the International Association for Culinary Professionals and won the Kiplinger’s “Dream in You” contest in 2006.
