Meet the Author

Linda Chen is currently an elementary principal in New York City. She previously worked as a teacher, and a district literacy instructional specialist, as well as a staff developer with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project and a literacy consultant to schools across the nation and in China.

A former teacher and literacy coach at the elementary and middle levels, Eugenia Mora-Flores is an assistant professor at the University of Southern California, where she teaches courses in language and literacy development. She also consults on the topic of language and literacy development for English learners at elementary schools in the Los Angeles area.
