All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The 2010 deluxe edition of Band on the Run contains a remastered version of the original nine-track U.K. version of the album on disc one and nine non-LP cuts and rarities on the second CD. Chief among the extras here is the rocker "Helen Wheels," a single that was also included on the original U.S. version of Band on the Run, its B-side "Country Dreamer," and "Zoo Gang," the U.K. TV theme that was the flip of "Band on the Run." The rest of the disc is devoted to selections McCartney & Wings performed on their 1974 TV special One Hand Clapping, where the band performed live at Abbey Road Studios; it's all enjoyable, particularly hearing "Band on the Run" and...

The deluxe edition is rounded out by a DVD that includes the One Hand Clapping special, music videos for "Band on the Run," "Helen Wheels," and "Mamunia," an album promo, and edits of behind-the-scenes footage of Wings recording in Lagos and shooting the album cover in Osterley Park.

Paul McCartney and Wings at its best

This is one of the best album that Paul McCartney and Wings had ever recorded after the Beatles broke up. The remastered version sounds bigger and better and louder than the LP vinyl album. If you're a fan of Paul McCartney and Wings like me, then this is a must-have collection. In addition to the Paul McCartney Archive Collection, I bought the Deluxe Edition of Band on the Run. I am looking forward to buying more remastered version in the coming years. If they do release the remastered version of McCartney, Ram, Venus and Mars, Wings at the Speed of Sound, Wings over America, and McCartney II, I wish they release it as a box set just like the Beatles Stereo and Mono Box Set and the John Lennon Signature Box Set. I hope they release it just in time for Christmas of 2011.
