Manuelo found out that his son Ramos was in New Mexico with an American family, Charles and Mary Elliot. They flew to New Mexico to find their son. When they arrive, Mary was not too enthusiastic to give up the boy.

Bandits of the Heart is Michael Ross' third book. It is about a young man search for his family after he is given a life sentence. Michael Ross lives in New York City and has three children.
