Editorial Reviews

FLA Flash
All in all, this is a book which is not only pleasing to the eye and easy to read, but it also informs the reader to interesting lighthouse aspects which only an artist can detect. This book will appeal to all ages and is a good on to add to your lighthouse collection.
Florida Times Union
The oversized book includes much information about lighthouses and their technology through the centuries. But the real reasons to want the book are the pictures, wonderful studies of all of Florida's lighthouses, as they exist today, from the derelict to the intact, and of their environs. It's a beautiful book, a real work of art, with wonderful birds, beaches, marshes, salty old fisherman and kids collecting shells as well as lighthouses.
Internet Book Watch
Bansemer's Book Of Carolina And Georgia Lighthouse showcases the great lighthouses that served the maritime trade for generations along the Carolina and Georgia coastlines. Roger Bansemer's informative text is superbly enhanced by his wonderful paintings. Most of these grand structures are no longer in service, having been rendered obsolete by advances in maritime and communications technologies. But their legacy lives on as proud relics of a maritime history that continues to hold a fascination for each new generation. Superbly produced and presented, Bansemer's Book Of Carolina And Georgia Lighthouse is a very highly recommended addition to any light house enthusiast's collection.
