About the Authors:

Rick Bushnell is the recipient of the highest award in his industry for outstanding contributions to Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) technology. He has lectured before professional societies at Georgia Tech, the University of Louisville, N.C. State, Notre Dame and Ohio University -- as well as conferences in the U.S., Australia, Singapore and Europe. He was instrumental in founding Insight, the vendor-independent AIDC support group. Rick is a highly-respected author, material management system designer, and lecturer. He has been interviewed by CBS Nightly News, Australian Broadcasting Co., Investors Business Daily, Industry Week, PC Week, Nation's Business, and OMNI.

Dr. Stephen L. Pearce is a pacesetting consultant to the distribution industry. More than a thousand companies have used his knowledge to increase their profitability. Dr. Pearce's most-familiar credentials are his 11-plus years at Texas A&M University, as Assistant Professor in Engineering Technology and Assistant Director for Research at the Thomas A. Read Center for Distribution Research. During and since his tenure at Texas A&M, he has delivered numerous lectures and presentations to university groups, private companies and associations throughout North America.
