Predictable but good book. There's a lot of page filler details that one might want to skim through. Frankly; I gave it 4 stars because it was free. I wouldn't buy a book by this author.

Started out so promisng, then slipped into boring.

Author couldn't decide whether explicit oral sex scenes in the carriage trumped history and war. I think I will pass on the rest., if they all are so tiresome.

Beautiful Story He and two of his friends decide at a young age that would never marry for love. She is the youngest of 4 daughters and her mother wants her to marry a duke but she fall for a Viscount on his way to find against Nepolean. Love finds a way to bring both parties something they thought they never would have.

AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE A SOMEWHAT BORING STORY. THEN I GOT INVOLVED IN THE CHARACTORS I MEAN REALLY INVOLVED. IT ALMOST SEEMED I WAS IN THE ROOM SITTING IN A LEATHER WING BACK CHAIR HAVING A WHISKEY WITH THE FREE FELLOWS OR IN THE COACH-WELL MAYBE NOT IN THE COACH-SINCE ON A SENSUAL SCALE OF 1-10 THIS PART IS AN 8. AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES (I HAVE ALREADY STARTED COLIN'S STORY). NOW FOR THE NEGATIVE--IT IS STATED IN SYNOPSIS THAT GRIFFIN WAS AWAY FOR 2 YEARS-HE WAS NOT. IT IS ALSO STATED HE HAD TO WIN HIS WIFE BACK--NOT SO-HE TRIED TO PUSH HER AWAY-SHE HAD ALWAYS BEEN LOYAL AND EAGER TO HAVE HIM RETURN.THAT--PLUS VERY MEDIOCRE COVER ILLUSTRATIONS ON ALL THE BOOKS-IS NOT-OF COURSE-A REASON TO NOT READ THIS SERIES.

Another truly enjoyable tale..Having read another of the Free Fellow League Series, Merely the Groom..I had to buy and read this book..and am thankful I did!!!..what a great story, Alyssa, and Griffin are the perfect foil to each other. I was thoroughly entranced and look forward to Ms.Lee's third of the series..Hardly A Husband.. Indulge & be Delighted !!!

I loved this book! The characters were well developed and enjoyable. Alyssa, the heroine, is smart, funny, and full of energy. The hero, Griffin, is charming and witty, and everything a romantic hero should be. This is the first I have read of this author's work and I definitely look forward to more from the 'Free Fellows League'.
