Overview

A SPICY RETELLING OF PRIDE AND PREJUDICE: In Jane Austen's original story, Fitzwilliam Darcy learns of the debacle involving Elizabeth Bennet's sister several months after he was rejected by Elizabeth, and volunteers to help find her sister, of his own accord.

But what if Miss Elizabeth had requested Mr. Darcy's aid in just a few days after the disastrous proposal at Hunsford, and he was still very angry with her refusal? What if he decided to be ungentlemanly, and demanded a very particular reward from her in exchange for his assistance?

This steamy, funny Pride and Prejudice what-if short story explores that scenario with wit, emotion and intriguing plot twists that take this perennial favorite to another direction.

Bizzar and uncreative, but somewhat entertaining.

The only positive thing I can say about this story is that it's occationally entertaining. However when your plot line includes crossdressing and witchcraft it comes out as a bad impersonation of Shakespeare rather than Austen. Also the story is so driven by timly coinsidences that it is a real eye roller. 'Oh that character would put a stop to this nonsence... she must be out of town!'
There is also a bare minimum of setting and description, except for the sex scenes. At times it is alot like a play; mention its in a park then... go diolouge.
For those of you looking for a rating of the sex scenes on my scale of 1-5 they are a 3, explicit but not crass or kinky.
Ultimately, did I mind reading it... no. Would I PAY for it again... no.

Bargain with the Devil is so-so

This is the first book that I read by Enid Wilson. It was ok. Very short, only 8 chapters. Breezed through it in one evening. Not much of a plot, what you see is what you get. Would not recommend this book to young audiences. Did not stay true to the Jane Austins Characters. It was ok, but I think I might have checked the library before making a purchase.

    Completely unexpected

Like the original, this Mr. Darcy was very single-minded in his love for Elizabeth Bennet. I loved the twists and turns of the story. Every step of the way, I was surprised. The author is overflown with original ideas and imagination. I highly recommend this book.
