    Beautiful!

I love barns. I'm always fascinated by how architects and builders can convert old barns into space for contemporary living. In Barn Again, Rooney shows many fascinating conversions of barns into flexible living space. Often, the barn is gutted, insulation added, fireplaces, windows, and other amenities inserted, and close-in parking and residential landscaping are made. Sometimes, barns are dismantled. and their beams and internal structural system are used in a building constructed around them. Not all conversions are faithful to the original framework, but many offer stunning possibilities. Makes me want to do that myself.

    Barn Again Review

This beautiful, full-color book depicts different ways in which American barns have been adapted and converted into contemporary space. Many became homes, but one is a chapel; another is a modern auditorium. I found the book an excellent idea source for my own pending barn renovation.
