Editorial Reviews

CoEvolution Quarterly
Though the book is intended as an instruction manual of basic designs, I found it reasonable to sit right down and read the whole thing through as if it were a novel, which it sort of is. The pay scales are a little off for today's labor market, though; a dollar a day is what they paid then.

I now look at old barns in a new way

This was a very interesting book. I'm an engineer and I was fascinated by the reasons farm buildings were built the way they were. This book was originally published in the late 1800's. I thought I was buying a modern book on building outbuildings. I read a book that I normally would not have read. I was very satisfied.
