Allen's lyrical text is loaded with action, drama and suspense and showcases a daring, extraordinary woman. The book closes with additional information about other daredevils of Niagara Falls, listing dates and facts. Lisa Fields's beautiful illustrations detail the funsihhings, clothing, and daily life of the early 1900s and emphasize the action in the story. Barrel Over Niagara Falls is a fascinating book about a captivating character.
