Overview

Barrister on a Budget is the book for all law students: rich or poor, recent-graduate or not-so-young-anymore, East coast or West . . . this book will help you achieve through law school while graduating with a minimal debt and maximum opportunities.

Most of us remember September 2008, when the economy began a free-fall into the Great Recession. Even now, while the economy experiences anemic “growth,” and with clocks on student-loan deferments ticking loudly, masses of law graduates search for employment.

The average prelaw book will help you determine if you have “what it takes” to go to law school, or what to expect during law school. It won’t, however, address equally important points: should you go? Should you go now? And, if you do decide to go, how can you minimize the expenses and maximize your chances for a financially secure future? Barrister on a Budget provides these missing ingredients. Law school is not about merely doing well in law school, it’s also about doing well as a lawyer.

It’s your career and your life. No one should place too much emphasis on statistics or probabilities. If you go to law school you will be making a financial investment and, unless you are brimming with family trust funds, undertaking a considerable level of student debt.

Barrister on a Budget will help the future law graduate incur the lowest possible debt and highest possible earning potential.
