I cant begin to say what this book has done for me. A month before the time when I was going to take the SAT 2 in biology, I bought this book. I did all the exercises and read everything, it helped me alot. On the SAT 2 i scored a 780, and I ws so proud. I recommend this book to everyone who is taking the Biology SAT 2. Good luck.

BEST BOOK TO PREPARE FOR SAT II BIOLOGY

This is the best book to prepare for SAT II Bio test. I was lost before this book, and didn't know what to study from and such, but when I found this book everything changed. I did each and every exercise in a time of one month and my score was very good. I recommend it to everyone.

Not the best you can get

I bought this book about a month before the test and I studied very hard every chance I got. I went through practically the whole book (except for the stuff that I just learned and was still fresh in my mind), and the tests seemed fairly easy. Unfortunately my results on the test were far from great. This book is very misleading because the practice exams in it are easier than the real thing. Get the Kaplan book instead.

    Ambigious

This book wasen't as helpful as I thought it would be. I studied from it fairly frequently, because I was shooting for something in the 750 range. I took the practice tests and did better than that. So I reviewed slightly more before the test and went into the testing center confident as ever. But when I opened the test booklet, I saw stuff that this book never covered. The stuff that this book DID cover was so broad and ambigious that the detailed questions on the actual tests looked like questions from the AP. I ended up with a 680 and I have since decided to go with Kaplan or Princeton Review.

    The best biology review

Although the Barron's book isn't perfect, it is the best book available for those who are taking the test. The Kaplan book isn't as organized, although it appears to be more straightforward at first glance. The information is generally concise and good, without too much hype of the 'testing strategy type.' This technique of filling a book was employed too much by other books, which went through too many pages of '...HOT TIP: BE CAREFUL TO PICK THE RIGHT ANSWER' type of stuff.
