  • Two of the book's exams are recently-given actual LSATs
  • All tests come with answer keys plus detailed analyses and explanations of answers

• The tests on the CD-ROM also feature automatic scoring. The manual presents test-taking advice in the form of a detailed 5-step approach to the LSAT, an actual exam used to diagnose weak areas, and wide-ranging practice and review that covers all three of the LSAT's main sections: Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension. Prospective law school students will find strategies for the LSAT's required writing samples, including two complete representative samples and six practice topics. Insightful new strategy charts provide succinct helpful tips for answering each question type. The book's additional features include test-taking strategies, an overview of ABA approved law schools, and a 16-page chart to help test takers assess their chances of admission at schools throughout the country.

    I Also Recommend:

This book is not worth it.

The overall quality of the questions just isn't up to par. I've had a lot of experience with test prep--I've taught SAT prep for several companies and taken the SAT, the LSAT, and the GRE, and after a while you start to notice when the questions just aren't as well constructed as they are on the actual test, which makes them slightly more ambiguous and slightly harder and slightly less helpful than they are in other books. I did not use this book for much other than practice tests, so my review is largely based on those, but I think that the quality of the practice tests should disqualify this book.

I also tried practice tests and test prep materials for the LSAT from LSAC (official tests), Powerscore, and Kaplan. On every other practice test, including the actual LSATs included in this book, I tested an average of twelve points higher than I did on Barron's tests. I recommend the companies I have mentioned above, and in that order: LSAC, Powerscore, and Kaplan if you still want more.
