This book had so many mistakes. Initially I thought I was doing very poorly but the tutor I ended up doing to for the math portion confirmed the book was incorrect. I went to the tutor too late and received a 115 and needed a 150 to qualify.

I didn't find this book helpful because for the ASTB section, the answers are either incorrectly keyed or the right answer is not an option. It is not all of them, but it makes it hard to learn when it tells you that your right answers are wrong. I wouldn't recommend this for the ASTB, the rest of the tests I'm not sure about I haven't used them.

It was extremely helpful, it was more than a study guide. It gives guidelines for health preperation and study excercises and background of the U.S. Military. It provides direction of test taking and helpful hints.

I've been going through this study guide because I need to freshen up on everything. However, when I was checking my answers for the arithmetic reasoning and math knowledge sections, I kept finding several errors. I would recommend using this study guide as a template in helping you prepare for your exam, but if you want to freshen up on your math skills, look at your high school math books or maybe even an SAT study guide.

This book was full of errors that it was sickening! The sad thing is my military recruiter recommended this book. He either has not reviewed the book or was too brain dead to see the basic errors in math.

'..excellence in everything we do..' yeah right.. This book has more holes in it than the new pilot's plane that studied from it.. Some of the sections were okay, but learning from this book is a no-no. I can understand maybe missing a typo here or there. But Sgt. Powers and whomever proofed this book messed up royally. I got halfway through the math review and counted 7-8 wrong answers to questions..some choices were close but wrong, and other answers were totally unrelated to the question! It's hard to take anything in this book seriously with such a major glich. I can't trust anything this book tells me at all. Avoid at all costs!
