Barron's SAT 2400 is a wonderful review guide, but to be able to use it effectively, you really need to have taken the SAT at least once previously or have done a few practice exams. You also need to keep in mind that this is not your typical study guide: it is meant for students aiming for a perfect score or as close to as possible. The questions and examples are aimed for that audience, not for the "my college requires a 1200 CR+M" crowd. Some of the examples in this book are far easier than the books title would lead you to believe; some are far more obscure than what you may find on the actual ACT. The strategies are mostly obvious, but still helpful to keep in mind. Overall, I was satisfied with the content of the book. Barron's SAT 2400 is clearly not meant as a standalone study guide: it only includes a few practice questions, and does not contain any actual practice exams. Those who are looking for actual exams would be better off purchasing another book or supplementing this one with a book solely of exams. As a final note of warning, don't expect much from the math section if you purchase this prep book for the NOOK color. Many of the mathematical symbols do not display correctly on the nook! As a result, I was unable to do many of the example questions in that section.

I bought this book and liked it although I'm not sure if it really helped me that much with the SAT. I read through it once and it's very informative and includes many nice tips.
