Overview

How would you feel if your parents traded you for earthly pleasures? Would you ever be able to get over the feelings of betrayal? Would you have the heart to try and save them?

Suffering through a ten year coma was just the beginning of Donny Milton's problems. Once he comes out of it, he quickly discovers a dark and horrible secret: his parents made a deal for his very life, and he's not the only one that this happened to. As the details of that barter unfold, Donny learns that he isn't the only one to have his life signed over like the title to a car or a home. The Dark One has many trophies throughout his lair as a result of these little deals.

What a concept for a novel--parents selling their own children. This novel kept me guessing until the very end. Having read this author's first novel, Lost Time, I think I just found me a new favorite author. This novel is a must read.
