Nothing on this brief set of baseball-themed recordings was ever a hit in the normal sense, although Abbott & Costello's "Who's on First" comedy bit certainly falls into the classic category and Ernie Harwell's moving spoken word "The Game for All America (A Definition of Baseball)" very well could be awarded classic status as well. Most of the musical numbers are light pop fare like Terry Cashman's ubiquitous "Willie, Mickey & the Duke (Talkin' Baseball)," full of a fan's love of the game.
