Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
This is a collection of 16 recent interviews with baseball players who played in the major leagues in the 1950s, originally published in Sports Collectors Digest . The seven pitchers and nine position players range from the still famous (Phil Rizzuto) to the nearly forgotten (Bob Keegan). The interviews, which follow a consistent format, are interesting and substantial. The players reminisce about their careers and give their opinions on changes in the game, current salaries, and souvenirs and autographs. The interviews are accompanied by photographs, career descriptions and comments by Kelley, and complete statistics. For large baseball collections.-- Wendy Knickerbocker, Rhode Island Coll.
